His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, announced exceptional milestones in the Pilgrim Experience ecosystem during the opening ceremony of the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum 2026. He revealed that the number of Umrah pilgrims arriving from outside the Kingdom surpassed 18 million, reflecting a remarkable 214% growth between 2022 and 2025. Additionally, pilgrim satisfaction rates rose significantly to 94% in 2025, underscoring the sector's rapid advancement.
His Excellency attributed these achievements to the unwavering support of the wise leadership, highlighting the dedication of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. He noted that their commitment to the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors has been instrumental in enabling this success. The announcements set a powerful tone for the forum, which continues to serve as a key platform for collaboration and innovation in pilgrimage services.
The forum’s accompanying exhibition was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan Al Saud, Emir of the Madinah Region, featuring 150 exhibitors and broad international participation. The event has generated significant momentum through the signing of numerous agreements and partnerships, alongside panel discussions focused on elevating the pilgrim and visitor experience. These efforts reflect a unified approach to enhancing every stage of the spiritual journey.
These figures reflect the ecosystem’s high efficiency and full readiness to respond to any changing circumstances,” said Dr. Al-Rabiah, emphasizing the seamless integration between the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and other relevant bodies. He explained that a dedicated operations room works to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional services, ensuring the comfort and safety of Umrah pilgrims throughout their stay
His Excellency stated that the Pilgrim Experience ecosystem is achieving major strides in both capacity and digital transformation. The Rawdah Sharif’s visitor capacity in the Prophet’s Mosque has doubled, welcoming over 15.6 million visitors last year, while 87 historical and cultural sites have been developed. Meanwhile, the Nusuk app now serves more than 51 million users globally, offering over 100 integrated services in nearly 100 languages, with new partnerships further streamlining travel planning for pilgrims.
