Kitchener, ON , 17 Sep 2025 (Viralpressreleases.com) - What began as a small September food drive in 2020 has become a lasting community effort by Aire One KW. To date, the company’s “Fill the Truck” program has supplied more than 150,000 meals to families throughout Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and Guelph—thanks to donations from customers and dollar-for-dollar matches from Aire One KW.

During HVAC service calls, technicians encourage customers to give non-perishable food items. These are gathered at Aire One KW’s operations centre and transported monthly in large watermelon bins to The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, where they’re distributed through a network of 54 organizations and 132 food programs.

The company also integrates reminders into appointment confirmations and emails, making it easy for households to contribute. Videos highlighting past collection efforts can be found on Aire One KW’s YouTube and Instagram channels.

“Supporting The Food Bank is about making sure no one in our community goes without,” said Lori Telford, Marketing Manager at Aire One KW. “We’re proud to keep this initiative running every single day of the year.”

According to The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, the organization acts as the central hub for the Community Food Assistance Network—supplying food that ultimately ends up in hampers, community meals, shelters, and supportive housing across the region.

Residents can drop off food donations directly at Aire One KW branches in Kitchener, Cambridge, and Guelph during business hours:

  • 1069 Victoria St. N., Kitchener – Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–6 p.m.; Sat 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

  • 290 Pinebush Rd., Cambridge – Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–6 p.m.

  • 485 Silvercreek Pkwy N., Unit #15, Guelph – Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–6 p.m.

Most-requested items include: canned meats and fish, canned fruits and vegetables, rice, dry beans, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, jams, and individually packaged snacks.

The campaign has no end date—Aire One KW’s “Fill the Truck” food drive continues year-round, amplifying community generosity and ensuring families have reliable access to nutritious food.
